After high school I graduated from the Masters College in Santa Clarita, California, with a degree in diversified education. I took a teaching position at a private school in Woodland (near Davis) and married my college sweetheart, Rick, in ’78. We both worked at that school until August ‘06 when we moved to Chandler, AZ. We have 3 children; Austin, who married in August, is pursuing his MDiv at a seminary in Tacoma and hopes to attend Hebrew University in Jerusalem to attain his ThM; Sarah, a radiology technologist, moved her family here (which includes my adorable granddaughter, Mallory) in October and bought a house 10 minutes away; and Tyson is in his senior year at Corban College in Salem, OR and plans to pursue his Masters in Math at ASU.
I am currently a vice principal at the school where my husband is a teacher and the head baseball coach. My days are busy with school, my Masters program, helping to care for my in-laws, “doing life” with my husband, and playing with my granddaughter. I miss California and my friends there, but the weather most of the year is beautiful, and I am making new friends.
