MATSUI, Ronald K. - 49, a lifetime resident of El Cerrito, CA passed away peacefully at home, September 5, 2004. Ron graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1973 and attended Contra Costa College. He enjoyed cooking, music, computers, all sports, and weekends at Sea Ranch and Lake Tahoe. He worked in several different service industries throughout his life, but Ron most enjoyed working in the food and beverage industry and eventually found his niche in the wine business. Up until his death, Ron worked as a wine consultant. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane M. Matsui; and is survived by his father, George J. Matsui, of El Cerrito; sister, Karen Owoc (Richard) of San Ramon and their children, Garrett and Cameron; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Buddhist Church of Oakland, 825 Jackson St., Oakland, CA. Memorial contributions in Ron's memory may be made to the Buddhist Church of Oakland Elevator Fund or charity of choice.
