Deb was born in Berkeley on May 23rd, 1955 to Rex and Alice Haroldson. After

While there she worked at Industrial Electric where she met her future
husband, Brent Dumont. Due to a company policy, they were secretly
married on July 8, 1978, followed by an official wedding ceremony on
Oct. 7, 1978.
Deb and Brent raised two children, Jeff and Corrine. In 1984 they moved
to Redding, CA. Deb worked part time at Foothill Distributing for several years and now has been working for Ch2MHill in Redding until her
passing. She is survived by her husband Brent, her children Jeff and
Corrine, her brothers Arly and Clff and her granddaughter, Alissa.
In October of 1999 Deb was diagnosed with breast cancer. After this
long battle she succumbed to the effects of this disease on Sept. 27, 2006 at the age of 51.
She served on several school boards in the Redding area and very active
in her church, St. James Lutheran Church. She loved camping, traveling,
window shopping and collecting items reflecting her Scandenavian heritage.
She met every challenge that came her way. She had a quick wit, an
honest heart and a faith that inspired many. She had a nack for playing
match maker. She is responsible for the marriage and life that both
Cathy (Aiello) and Steve Martin have shared for the past 26 years and
the marriage and life that Deb (Dunow) and King Toy have shared for the
past 24 years. She is and will always be missed by those whose life she has
touched.
