At El Cerrito High,
Kevin received Gaucho Gallery selections for Class Cut-up, Most Inspirational Leader, and Most Class Spirit. You may remember him as the leader of the "Hey Hey Babareeba" cheer at rallies.
After graduating from San Francisco State in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in communications, Kevin spent a short time in radio and TV and then began his own landscaping and maintenance business which he still owns with his wife Vicki, (ECHS Class of '74), today.
Kevin and Vicki have a daughter Danielle who graduated from St. Mary's College in 2005, and El Cerrito High in 2001, and a son Jeffrey who graduated from El Cerrito High in 2002, and graduated from St. Mary's College in 2009. Grandson Bradley was born November 9th 2008, and grandaughter Gianna was born April 12th 2010.
Son Jeffrey and Lisa Layton were married in September 2013. They also met while attending St. Mary's College as did daughter Danielle and her husband Raymond Egan.
We welcomed our 3rd grandchild into the world when Jeff and Lisa had their first child: Emily Clare Berndt arrived October 27, 2016 in Santa Clara. The couple plus one makes their home in Scott's Valley, CA.
